What is a SMART Board?  An interactive whiteboard that improves the way you meet, teach, train and present.  It combines the look and feel of a regular whiteboard with the power of a computer.  When combined with a projector, the SMART Board becomes a large, touch-sensitive screen.  The purpose of this demonstration  is to show the powerful technology of the SMART Board to enhance lessons, motivate learners, increase interaction, encourage involvement of your students in the subject and  increase student achievement.  Come learn how to use this new technology tool in your classroom or in the lab.  Your students will love it and you will, too!

This full-day, in-depth beginner session is designed to help you master your SMART products.  The session is for Windows users and offers hands-on practice and discussions about integrating SMART products into your classroom.

What to Expect

• Instructor-led training and support from a certified SMART trainer
• Detailed information delivered in a modular format
• Discussions that help you relate what you''ve learned to your classroom
• Discussions about advanced product features
• Interactive, hands-on activities that provide a chance to apply your new skills

Materials

Participants will receive a copy of SMART''s Learner Workbook, which includes reference material, step-by-step activities and quizzes. This workbook is used during the session and is ideal for future reference.

Class Size

Each session is designed to accommodate a maximum of 10 participants, in order to maintain a hands-on, interactive learning environment.

SMART Board™ Training – Level 2

Learn how to design lesson activities in Notebook collaborative learning software by adding style and incorporating interactive content during this full-day workshop. This session is led by a SMART Certified Trainer. By the end of the session, you’ll be comfortable creating and organizing lessons using the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and Notebook software 10.

What to Expect

• Intermediate design in Notebook software: Learn how Notebook software can help you to structure lessons more effectively. Use new tools and add rich media content to lesson activities.
• Delivering lessons and leveraging interactive tools: Learn best practices for teaching with an interactive whiteboard. Discover the differences between using Notebook software to create presentations in advance and using the software spontaneously in your classroom.
• You will have time to ask questions and create interactive lesson activities 

Customer Requirements

• All participants MUST have attended a SMART Board Level 1 workshop.
• All participants should have basic knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® or Macintosh operating systems. 

Materials

• You will receive a level 2 Notebook software learner workbook that includes reference material, step-by-step activities and review exercises. The workbook is used during the session and is an excellent future reference.
